Inari was born and brought up in the Land of Waves with his mother Tsunami and his grandfather Tazuna. It is unknown when his father died, as it was never mentioned in the anime.

After some time, one day, Akane was bullying Inari and threw Pochi into the river. He even pushed Inari into the river and when he was drowning, Kaiza saved him.

Inari became close to Kaiza and he soon married Tsunami to become Inari’s stepdad. When Gato found Kaiza a threat to his business, he put him to death in front of the whole villagers and Inari’s eyes.

After some time, Team 7 (Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and Kakashi Hatake) came to the Land of Waves to protect Tazuna. This was because Gato’s men didn’t want Tazuna to make a bridge. Inari told them to go away as he thought that they would not do anything for his village and believed that they would just die like his stepfather.

When Kakashi talked with Inari about Naruto and his life, he was wanted to get to know Naruto better. Inari saw Naruto training in the forest but when he saw Naruto struggling, he felt disappointment.

Next day when Zori and Waraji broke into Inari’s house to take Tsunami as hostage Inari tried to rescue her mother but failed. However, suddely Naruto came and defeated both men in an instant. Inari’s attitude changed after that and then he went to villagers and asked them help him back Team 7.

When Gato’s men tried to attack Team 7, Inari and the villagers came to thier rescue which forced the thugs to run away. As team 7 headed back towards Konoha village, Naruto realised that he left his Ichiraku Ramen shop coupon at Inari’s house and told them that he will come back soon. But when Tazuna found that coupon, Inari took it and told him that he will give it back to them.

However, on his way, some of Akane’s friend started bullying him but out of nowhere which was when Zori and Waraji came out and took them as a hostage. Inari told his friends not to cry and together they sneaked out from the room where they were being kept hostage via window. He then told his friends to go to another side while he made the thugs follow him to the cliff.

When Inari reach the cliff, he jumped into a river where Naruto saved him and then Naruto and Sasuke were able to defeat Zori and Wajari alongside other thugs. The villagers also came to the rescue and captured all the thugs.

Years later when Pain destroyed Konoha's village and Naruto defeated him, Inari and all the Land of Waves carpenters came to help Konoha rebuild. He told Naruto that he had become a carpenter and then told Naruto that he would build the Ichiraku Ramen shop first.

Later he appeared in anime when Naruto and Sasuke freed the whole shinobi world from Infinite Tsukuyomi. He also is mentioned in Kakashi Hiden where he met Naruto at Haku and Zabuza's grave.

Inari used to be a coward and a weak-willed kid but after meeting Naruto, he became brave. He loved his family, especially his stepfather but also hated him when he was executed.

He respects his grandfather Tazuna and loves his mother Tsunami. He has great respect for Naruto and looks up to him. He forgives people easily, just like he did to Akane and his friends, who used to bully him.

Inari used to wear a blue jumpsuit when his stepfather was alive. He then wore a Green jumpsuit and under that yellow T-shirt. He also wore a hat and has spiky black hair.

When he grew old as a teenager he wears a sleeveless grey t-shirt and his hair is down and carries a towel. He has a yellow cloth wrapped around his waist and pair of pants.

Inari is good with crossbow which he showed when he came to Team 7 rescue alongside other villagers. He is also skilled carpenter.
